Welcome to Samatha Community Development & Welfare Society

Samatha is a humanitarian voluntary grassroots organization committed to serving the poor and needy communities with a wholistic approach.

It emerged in response to severe floods which utterly swept the low-lying areas in either sides of river Thandava divding both East Godavari and Visakhapatnam districts in the year 1990. The immediate relief and rehabilitation services, in the later times, resulted in establishing Samatha Community Development Project which was soon brought under SCDWS. Along the line there has been the support of the generous people, organizations and the donor agencies in reaching out the floods-stricken communities to bring about lasting change in their lives in the areas of education, health, leadership and livelihoods with a special focus on women and children.

Our Vision

To create a transformed society where every person enjoys safety, security and serenity.
